EUGENE, Ore. – A new coffee shop is in town, valuing the history of its new space. The old Allann Brothers on Fifth Avenue finally has a new tenant. Co-owners Mark Harrison and Joe Sheppard have brought “Farmers Union Coffee Roasters” to life. They roast about a thousand pounds of coffee each week on this pink roaster, right here in the cafe. “You could find a very similar machine 100 years ago not much would have changed,” said Harrison. Where does the coffee come from? Right below your feet.
